Mudlet 2.0 is drawing close and we’re making great progress on the work (the initial version of the package system was added yesterday!).
We would, however, love your help in making our docs be better – no technical experience needed, just writing skills and time. We could use help with moving our manual from this page to the wiki, along with adding tips that new people to Mudlet are confused about to the wiki in the manual. If you got a moment, help out a client you love! (if you do! and even if you don’t, help anyway, it’s free!)

The upcoming Mudlet 2.0 release will feature a package system. We’re drafting how it works right now, so please take a look at it and comment to make sure you’ll like it in the end!

We at Mudlet like making user-friendly stuff! I hope you’ve noticed that with Mudlets UI… But as always, time is limited, we do this on our spare time for free, and there is always room for improvement.
If you’re a new user to Mudlet (let’s say you started using Mudlet from scratch since February), what are some things that confused you at first or still confuse you? Please post in comments, we’d love to improve things!

KaVir of Godwars II fame has created easy to implement additions for MUD owners for adding several exciting protocols to improve gaming experience for their players. We at Mudlet fully support this initiative, as pushing MUDs into more interactive enviroments is what Mudlet strives to support.
KaVir’s post along with public-domain code is available from here.
It adds support for TTYPE, NAWS, MSDP, ATCP, MSSP, MSP and MXP, as well as UTF-8 (using CHARSET) and XTerm 256 colors. One mud has already added it, at least three more are in the process of adding it, and with luck we’ll see even more muds using it in the near future.
